As the largest event to ever descend on Austin, Formula One has already proven to be a huge economic force for central Texas. Over 117,000 fans from all over the world attended the inaugural race this past November and the race is now part of the Formula One circuit for the next decade and beyond.
Some are already calling this amazing, multi-million dollar facility as one of the best tracks on the circuit and Austin F1 is now being mentioned in the same breath as cities like Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Sao Paulo.
The next F1 race takes place Nov. 15-17, 2013. Circuit of the Americas will be home to other races during the year such as GRAND AM, MOTO GP, and V8. The racetrack facilities will also be the site of conventions, seminars, and live concerts at the Tower Amphitheater.
If you attended the race and were visiting Austin for the first time, you might’ve come to the realization that Austin is a special place. Whether it was the world famous BBQ and diverse cuisine, the quirky vibe of Austin’s culture, or the engaging outdoor fall festivals; Austin offers something for everyone.
