Pflugerville’s second hotel was announced on May, 13. A $20 million, 142-room Marriott Hotel and 20,000 sq foot conference center will be located at the 130 Commerce Center on the southwest corner of SH 130 and Pecan Street.
Pflugerville has long awaited a hotel to fill the city’s void of accommodations. With the Hawaiian Falls water park opening three miles north, visitors will now be able to stay nearby, which will help transform Pflugerville into a weekend destination.
This is the second hotel announced in recent weeks and it will certainly ease the lack of hotel rooms located in this part of the Austin area. Moreover, visitors attending Formula 1, ESPN’s Summer X-games and other local events will use these two hotels especially considering the lack of traffic issues along SH-130. Easy access to downtown and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport will be another plus.
The Marriott Hotel is slated to open in spring of 2016 with groundbreaking by December of this year.
