Explore UT, the biggest open house in Texas, welcomed 50,000 visitors to campus at the University of Texas. They invited the community for more than 400 free activities across six realms of discovery. They had activities for students from Kindergarten to seniors in high school including booths presented by the different colleges within UT. You could tour the Forty Acres and experience daily life on campus. For the sports-minded, Royal Memorial stadium was open to football practice.
Approximately 50,000 students enroll at UT Austin each year. And the Forty Acres is home to seven museums and seventeen libraries, making it the seventh-largest academic library in the country. The university’s athletics program has been ranked fifth in the nation among Division I schools with strong showings in football, volleyball, swimming, baseball, and basketball.
